With the professional gong mallet S186, Olli Hess has designed a mallet that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of sound and playing technique. With its low weight, it lies comfortably in the hand and is suitable as an all-round mallet for many types of gongs and singing bowls.

The high-quality workmanship makes the Professional Gong Mallet S186 a long-lasting mallet with which you can easily create great effects on gongs or singing bowls. Thanks to its low weight, you will not experience any signs of fatigue in your wrist even after prolonged gaming. The soft rubber head ensures a differentiated sound without disturbing background noises.

The mallet can also be used as a second mallet in combination with the professional gong mallet L355, which is particularly suitable for large gongs. This would give you a mallet for fine, clear tones and one that fully utilizes the enormous volume of a large gong.

Optimal balance in the hand

The professional gong mallet S186 is relatively light at 186 grams. This is due, among other things, to its small head, which is only 7.2 centimeters in diameter, but also to the materials used. To match the head, the handle made of biologically waxed beech wood is 30 centimeters long and 17.5 millimeters in diameter. The smart combination of head and handle ensures an optimal balance of the club. The handle ends in a thickening that ensures that the mallet lies comfortably in your hand and does not slip.

With the professional gong mallet S186 you can play gongs from 50 centimeters to 2 meters in diameter and singing bowls from 4 kilograms. It does not overwhelm the smaller instruments, but gets a fine and precise sound out of the larger ones.
