The professional gong mallet M174 was developed with an extra portion of feeling for fine sounds. It differs from the other ollihess gong mallets mainly in its size, weight and purpose. The mallet is right for you if you like to play with pairs of mallets, for example. With the handle, which is only 20 centimeters long, you can play fast rhythms thanks to the low leverage.

Effective and handy application

The mallet is the right accessory for gong players who want a mallet with little weight, because it weighs only 174 grams. The low weight is due on the one hand to the short handle, and on the other hand to the diameter of the head, which only applies to the professional gong mallet M174 7.2 centimeters. This way you can hold it for a long time without putting too much strain on your wrists.
The handle diameter is 17.55 millimeters, with the end slightly thicker than the handle, so that the mallet sits comfortably in the hand. Because the handle is so short, it cannot accidentally touch the gong when striking it. This means that there are no annoying clanking tones when playing, for example during meditation.

Special natural rubber core

Despite the small mallet head, you will achieve a great effect with this mallet because the head is specially constructed. The core consists of natural rubber, a light and soft material that ensures clear tones without annoying impact noises.
With its small head, the mallet is very suitable for small gongs such as Feng gongs. These can be made to vibrate quickly and therefore need light mallets that do not put too much strain on them. But the professional gong mallet M174 is also suitable for all other gongs from 40 centimeters in diameter upwards.
